KESHI BETTER THAN SIASIA, SAYS ONIGBINDE

THE former chief coach of the Super Eagles, Chief Adegboye Oniebinde, has declared that the newly appointed coach of the senior national soccer team,Stephen Keshi, is better than the sacked Samson Siasia who did not listen to technical advise suggested to him to take the team to greater heights.Onigbinde stated that, the two coaches are incomparable, as Keshi is far experienced and knowledgeable about the game of football than the former Dream Team IV coach."As a matter of fact, Keshi aside from serving as assistant to Shaibu Amodu in the Super Eagles, still went out of the country to handle top African national teams like Togo which had Emmanuel Adebayor and Mali that had a great player like Frederic Kanounte."Keshi has vast experience when compared with Siasia whose experience is limited as he only handled two Nigerian age-grade national teams, the Flying Eagles and the Under-23 before he was sentimentally given the job of the senior national team."Onigbinde noted that, "even as a player, Keshi was a bigger player than Siasia as he commanded so much respect and captained thenational team for 10 years of meritorious service. Siasia was never in charge of the Eagles as team captain, instead he created problems for the coaches."I was the one who made Keshi captain of the Eagles in 1984 and he continued in the position uptil 1994 when he retired after winning the 1994 Nations Cup for Nigeria and also helped the country book an historic World Cup ticket at USA94."He stressed that, Keshi's reign as Eagles coach will be different as the Technical Committee would give him all the support and won't allow him to fail."I believe strongly that he would take Nigerian football to another level with his wealth of experience and technical expertise."
