2 die in auto crash in Ibadan ' 7 sustain injuries

Two persons, including a motorcyclist, on Monday, lost their lives while about seven others sustained injuries in a motor accident on Lagos-Ibadan road.The accident, which took place at Muslim Bus stop around 1.30p.m., involved a commercial vehicle with registration number TK 363 FST (Lagos), a motorcycle with registration number QL 411 KSF (Lagos) and a car with the registration number AA 620 KNR (Osun).The commercial bus with the inscription Jahsco V. Line Transport was coming from Lagos when as a result speeding, the driver lost control and the vehicle hit the motorcyclist and his passenger.According to an eyewitness, the commercial vehicle swerved to the other side of the road before hitting an oncoming car.The motorcycle rider was said to have died on the spot while the passenger lost his life before any medical assistance could reach him.Seven passengers in the commercial vehicle who sustained injuries were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.When the Nigerian Tribune visited the scene of the incident, blood stains were seen on the road while the two vehicles involved in the accident and the motorcycle were parked on one side of the road.The driver of the car, who identified himself as Segun, said he saw the commercial vehicle coming and was trying to avoid it when it suddenly hit his car.According to him, the driver of the commercial vehicle was on high speed when he lost control and swerved to the other side of the road.He said he hit the motorcycle before crossing to the other side of the road to hit his car.
