The United States Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Mr. Johnnie Carson, will travel to China, Japan and the Republic of Korea for bilateral meetings with his counterparts in those countries.A statement issued by the US Department of State, said Carson would on Thursday in Beijing co-chair the fifth round of the US-China Sub-Dialogue on Africa.The statement said Carson was scheduled to attend an economic dialogue aimed at promoting both countries interest in Africa.He is also billed to hold bilateral meetings in Japan and the Republic of Korea.
