First Bank win CBN Cup

FIRST Bank of Nigeria Plc last weekend won the All Financial Institutions Football Tournament, known as the CBN Cup in Abeokuta, Ogun State.About 20 banks participated in the tourney that was held at the MKO Abiola Stadium with First Bank winning all its five games to cart home the trophy.First Bank said its sponsorship of the Elephant Boys, as the football side is known, formed part of its approach to driving youth development and empowerment through sports.The banks Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Folake Ani- Mumuney, said First Bank had a rich pedigree in supporting individuals, communities and organisations to excel in various sporting activities.Ani-Mumuney said, In consonance with the banks Corporate Social Responsibility policy, we seek platforms of partnering with members of the community where we operate to assist the youths in achieving their career aspirations.
