UACN ready to lift sailing sport

After hosting the second edition of the UAC Trophy Race, UAC of Nigeria Plc says it is committed to the development of the game in Nigeria.Larry Ettah, Group Managing Director of the company said UACN was delighted to be involved in the game, adding that participants at this years event showed that the sport had a future in Nigeria."Sailing as a sporting and recreational activity has enormous benefits to human life and as a result, it will continue to receive our backing," Ettah said. The tournament featured some of the best yachtsmen in recreational sailing, with Lloyd Crisp emerging winner in the Hobie Category, while Eder Avy and Phil Claxton came second and third respectively.In the Mixed Monohull Category, Carol Khouri won while Peter Kolev came second and Martin Foley finished in the third place. The Lightning Category produced Mike Barnes as the winner, Helmut Braun came second and Gary Schwanil was third.
