Crown give 3SC one more life

Crown of Ogbomosho beat Plateau United 1-0 at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan on Wednesday to ease Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan relegation worries.The match was one of the two most important matches of the day, which would determine the teams that will be relegated to the National Division One.Plateau, with 41 points, needed to win to drag 3SC, with 44 points, to the relegation zone, hoping that JUTH, another Plateau State club, would beat 3SC in Jos.While JUTH, who are already relegated, did their brothers the favour, beating 3SC 2-1, Crown saved the Ibadan club by their victory.The match between Crown and Plateau was moved from Ogbomoso to Ibadan, which put 3SCs survival in the hands of their fans. The Ibadan fans gave the support Crown needed in a bid to save their own club. Crown were already relegated before the match. All 3SC need now is to pick a draw in the last match against Lobi Stars in Ibadan.In Yenagoa, leaders Sunshine drew 2-2 with hosts Ocean Boys while second placed Dolphins beat Zamfara 4-0 to drag the race to win the title to the final day. Sunshine now have 71 points while Dolphins have 70 points.To win the title, Sunshine must win in Kano against Pillars to render any result Dolphins get against Bukola in Ilorin irrelevant on the last day.
