Indian Trade Promotion parades 13 firms

THIRTEEN Indian firms, including information technology, food processing and auto parts are taking part in a 10-day Lagos International Trade Fair where thousands of visitors from Nigeria and abroad are expected to visit the pavilions.India Trade and Promotion Organisation (IPO) is organizing India's participation in the yearly trade exhibition put together by Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).Participating companies from India include auto parts companies, information technology firms, food processing outfits amongst others.Mahesh Sachdev, the High Commissioner to Nigeria, visited the Indian pavilion on the second day of the exhibition, which began on Saturday.He said the huge Indian presence, seen as the largest of its kind in West African sub-region, is the first of its kind in 18 years.The envoy said it signals an improvement in bilateral ties as a 16-member team of Abuja Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ABUCCIMA) will attend India International Trade Fair in New Delhi soon.
