Ile Iwe Ijoba movie premieres in Lagos tomorrow

Published by Guardian on Thu, 10 Nov 2011

TOTAL Film Production has completed arrangements to premiere the movie Ile Iwe Ijoba tomorrow with the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, as the special guest of honour. The film centres on learning in a condussive environment. Before now, public schools were seen as places that could not give quality education to children as they lacked basic infrastructure and qualified teachers. Recently, however, this perception has changed as a visit to some of them shows that a positive development is gradually taking place. Good structures, such as new classrooms, toilets and computer rooms, science laboratories to well equipped libraries, are now available. These now make public schools in Lagos to compete with the best of private schools in any part of the country.According to the organizer, Ile Iwe Ijoba brings to focus how children of the less privileged can be taken away from the street to public schools at an affordable cost so they can acquire quality education. Ile Iwe Ijoba movie aims at informing parents and guardians to desist from making their children and wards roam the streets or hawk wares but to enjoy the quality education that awaits them at government schools in the State. The film features seasoned Nollywood practitioners such as Jibola Darbor, Kanran, Doris Simeon, Funsho Adeolu, Femi Oriyomi, Lola Alao, Pa Suara, Ojoge and others.
