The Good Man in Honour Of Izunaso

A NEW film in honour of Sen. Osita Izunaso, The Good Man, has been presented to the public in Owerri, the Imo State capital by a crop of Nollywood moviemakers. It was at the instance of the senator's birthday last week at Sam Mbakwe Hall, Concorde Hotel. Izunaso formerly represented Orlu Senatorial District of the state.Produced by Andy Ike and directed by Theodore Anyanji, the high profile event also marked the formal launch of Sen. Izunaso's Kpakpando Foundation, which aims at empowering the physically challenged member of society with a view to giving them meaningful livelihood.Dignitaries in attendance at the birthday and foundation launch included Ondo State governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, Sen. Chris Ngige, Sen Chris Anyanwu, wife of Imo State governor, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, Imo State deputy governor, Sir. Jude Agbaso, Imo SSG, Prof. A.G. Anwukah among others.The movie, shot and produced in Imo State, has inimitable actor, Patience Ozokwo as executive producer. Ike, who also marked her birthday alongside Sen. Izunaso, used the occasion to debunk misconceptions that popular actor, Emeka Ike, is her relation. She, however, said their having the same surname is a mere coincidence, and said they are colleagues in the moviemaking business, with a good working relationship.
