Group To Support Security Agencies In Crime Control

MEMBERS of the Police Assistance Committee (PAC) have worked out ways to assist the State Security Services (SSS) and the police with information to check terrorism and other related crimes in the country.The modalities were worked out at a recent national workshop in Lagos PAC held for its national executive members, made up of chairmen, secretaries and public relations officers of the Association of Tradesmen and Artisans.The Director-General of PAC, Dr. Martins Oni, who enjoined members to see the present security situation as a challenge to all Nigerians, asked the group leaders to work with security agencies, particularly the SSS and the Police with vital information on the activities of criminals.He said they should be in contact with all states and zonal offices of the SSS and police state commands through on-line and verbal communication to pass useful information and intelligence gathering to the security agencies.
