HITV honours Nollywood acts

Penultimate Thursday, 27th October, 2011. Halima Abubakar was recognized and honoured with an award as 'OGBONTARIGI' which in English means 'SEASON STAR' by HITV, Nigeria Cable Pay TV Company.The event was packaged by Hi Nolly Yoruba - a channel on HITV and was coordinated by a Senior Manager of the company, Kunle Abiola-Ige.The event, which held at Alalo - an African Restaurant and Bar on Adekunle Fajuyi street, GRA Ikeja, had in attendance some showbiz top shots. Celebrities in other fields were also present included Afro Juju music maestro - Sir Shina Peters, prolific presenter and producer, Gbenga Adewusi otherwise known as Bayowa, Susan Peters, Lagos Big Boy, Tunde Ojo, Publisher of the Enquirer, Tunde Moshood, Moyo Lawal, Moji Olaiya and Olajumoke Giwa (Gender Columnist).Halima, who in October won an Afro-Hollywood Award as the Best Actress (Supporting role in English Language film), was also the Best Actress at the City People Entertainment Awards in August has no doubt been the colossus of all eyes recently. To her credit, she just concluded the shooting of MISTRESS which was written and produced by her. She's however a multi-talented movie star worthy of recognition. The main ceremony of Afro-Hollywood Awards was on November 6, 2011 in London where Halima Abubakar was honoured.
