Ajilore eyes Eagles return

Brondby midfielder Femi Ajilore is eyeing a return to the Super Eagles after he managed to play just one game under erstwhile coach Samson Siasia.The former Groningen man has struggled to hold a place in the senior national team after an impressive outing with the national U-23 side at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing three years ago.Now Ajilore says he is fully fit and hopes to battle his way into the Eagles once more."I love playing for my country and nothing compares to it. I am proud to represent my country and I hope to be back in the team soon," Ajilore said."I was out this while because I sustained a minor injury and the doctor advised me not to rush into action so that the injury could heal. I thank God that I am fully fit now and playing 90 minutes regularly for my club." Ajilore is also optimistic that new Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, can bring back the glory days to the team.He said, "Keshi is a good coach; he was one of the players I looked up to as a player. He served the nation very well as a player and I believe he will even do more as a coach."I believe he knows what to do to make Eagles great again like we used to have in his days as a player. If he gets the needed support, he will succeed."
