Gbenga Adeyinka, other celebrities present car to new couple

Barely a day after his wedding, Ojo Adetunji got the perfect wedding gift: a crown cork.But it wasn't just any other crown cork that Adetunji discovered. The crown cork contained the much coveted letter S underneath it. With the crown cork, the Akure-based beer merchant was able to assemble the four letters to form the word, STAR. Thus, Adetunji, 45, went home with one of the brand new Toyota Corollas in the on-going 2011 Star Mega Promo.During the official presentation of the car at the Nigerian Breweries Plc. Corporate headquarters in Lagos, the beer merchant credited his wife, Opeyemi, for bringing him the luck with which he won the car.'I am so happy that I won this car. I can only say it is the work of God. It just shows that my wife brought me the fortune with which I won the car,' he stated.Speaking on how he won the car, the native of Ekiti said he discovered the crown cork the day after his wedding, during a reception he organized for his colleagues. 'It happened on the day after my wedding. I was actually hosting some of colleagues to a reception at my shop. The first drink that I opened was Star. When I checked the crown cork I noticed that it was S. I was overjoyed with it because I had been searching for it for more than a month since the promo started,' he said.According to Adetunji, he had more than 400 crown corks containing the other letters, T, A and R. 'If you go to my fridge, you will crown corks numbering more than 400. I have been keeping the crown corks in the hope of getting the elusive letter S. I told my wife that we had to keep looking for the winning crown cork with S,' he stated.Also speaking was Ojo's wife, Opeyemi Adetunji, who was by her husband's side throughout the expression. 'We are so happy about this brand new car. My husband says I brought him the luck that led to our winning the car. All I can say is that I am happy and this will do a lot for our marriage,' she said.Also present was the CEO of Brila FM, Mr. Larry Izamoje who presented the car keys to the winner. 'I think this is a noble idea from Star. It is a great way for Star to say thank you to their teeming consumers,' he said.The Adetunjis are the 10th brand new car winners in the Star Mega promo. Fourteen other cars remain to be won in the on-going promo.Apart from the cars, cash prizes of N5,000 and N20,000 have also be won in the promo. All together more than N6 million has been given away to winners in the promo. Also instant prizes of key holders, T-shirts and free bottles of Star are also being won daily in the promo.
