Enterprise Bank to partner Ebonyi on transformation

The Board and Management of Enterprise Bank Limited have pledged to partner the government of Ebonyi State in its efforts to transform the state.The bank made the pledge when the Chairman of the bank, Mr. Emeka Onwuka, and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ahmed Kuru led a management team of the bank to visit the Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Martin Elechi. A statement by the bank quoted the chairman of the bank as saying, "The dualisation of the road leading to the state capital and the movement of the quarry/granite business to Umuoghara are key examples of projects that will open up the respective environs. The bank is in a better position to identify with the government and people of Ebonyi State so as to help deepen the current developmental gains." In his response, Elechi said it was pleasing to welcome a powerful team from Enterprise Bank at the government house, adding that the state would welcome professional assistance from the bank in many areas of development, which the government had embarked on. This he said included modern mega market development, road construction and rice milling, which he believed was capable of making Nigeria a nation to be reckoned with globally in rice production.
