GENERAL Manager of Plateau United FC of Jos, Bitrus Bewarang, has said that the sacked former Super Eagles Chief Coach, Samson Siasia deserves the treatment metted on him by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after he failed to meet the contractual agreement both parties agreed upon.Hence, Bewarang urged the pro-Siasia forces to rally round the new man in charge, Stephen Keshi, in order to carry the Super Eagles to higher grounds.Bewerang spoke with Tribunesports in Ibadan that the Siasia saga ended the moment the country failed to clinch the 2012 Nations Cup slot, adding that the former coach dispalyed good sportsmanship by showing solidarity with Keshi when the latter was unveiled by the NFF in Abuja last week.'Samson Siasia couldn't have escaped what happened. Once he failed to meet the contractual agreement he signed with NFF that he would qualify Eagles for 2012 Nations Cup and reach the semi final, he deserved to be fired. I do not pity him being sacked, it is just unfortunate he failed''.He added: 'Siasia failed the entire nation and disappointed indigenous coaches and those who clamoured for local coaches for our national team; he totally let us down. I am in support of NFF's decision to sack him once he failed to qualify the nation for Africa Nations Cup.'Commenting on the newly- appointed Stephen Keshi, Bewarang who was a member of Nigeria's technical crew to Tunisia '94 Nations Cup said: 'I support the appointment of Keshi, he is an indigenous coach and let us give him the chance to deliver and time to mould the team.''What I dislike is hiring foreigner to coach our national team, we should always give our local coaches the chance to do it, I believe Keshi would put smile back on our faces again and Nigerian would regain its position in Africa football again.
