Michael Arumemi - What manner of

I am not talking about Sir Joseph Arumemi Johnson, one of the rare men God created to bless humanity and particularly the Nigerian Aviation industry, but Dr Michael Arumemi'Ikhide. I hope the latter is a chip off the old block.If Dr Mike Arumemi'Ikhide is the son of Sir Joseph Arumemi'Johnson, then Sir Joseph has earned the favour of our Lord Jesus Christ.I have never met any of the Arumemis in person ever except when Sir Joseph was marking his last birthday and one of my uncles commissioned me to design a copy of birthday congratulatory advert for him.And as for Arik Air, I remember boarding the airlines thrice when I had cause to fly from Lagos to Abuja, as the Ibadan airport has comein handy.I must say I enjoyed the flight in those three times but never used Arik for international flights.However, as the official sponsors of the NCUK/CANUK Carnival which took place in London, the Arik management sent a complimentary ticket without any string attached.I felt great that it would afford me the opportunity of experiencing the services of Arik on international flight.And except for one observation or the other, I can boldly recommend Arik Air to any patriotic Nigerian travelling to the UK. The service on board is okay as you are bound to enjoy yourself till you wish Heathrow should still be far away.But that is not where the beauty stops.Unlike other airlines, where you have to beg and beg before a compli-mentary ticket, could be grudgingly issued to you, Arik management believes you are doing them a favour by accepting the complimentary ticket, as it treats you with honour and respect.In fact, you will be earning the respect from the Lagos counter
