Genoa coach hails Nigerian players

GENOA of Italy coach, Augusto Podesta has saluted Inter Milan star, Joel Obi and AC Milan left back, Taye Taiwo for their performance in Italian Serie A.Podesta, who was on a three days visit to Nero football Academy, Ibadan, said the duo are really making the country proud in Italy."Joel Obi has been doing extremely well and look at Taye Taiwo who just joined the Milan giants, AC Milan is now adapting to our league and I can promise you that in a couple of months we will all see his potential, Podesta said.Podesta also hails Nero academy for giving him an honour to visit Nigeria for the first time to see abundant talents in the country."Actually Nigeria has a lot of talents and I give kudos to Nero for making an impact in the lives of the younger ones and help them in realising their potentials.'Meanwhile, the team manager of the academy, Coach Abiodun Faforiyo said the aim of the academy was to give opportunities to Nigerian youths who dreamt of earning their living through football and help them getting a top club in Europe".He said the founder of the academy, Mr. Ayotunde Omolola has been doing a lot to assist the younger ones who want to further their playing careers in Europe.The agent of the team, Paul Ojo said Podesta happen to be the ninth coach the academy is bringing to check on their players."Eight our of players are already in Europe and very soon many will joined them," Paul said.
