Microworld's eScan enters Nigerian market, to tackle grey activities

MICROWORLD, an anti-virus and content security company, is consolidating on its presence in Nigeria's fast growing IT market with solutions to kit homes and corporate enterprises against computer security threat.MicroWorld is promoting its eScan anti-virus product suite, which incorporates anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, anti-phishing and other networks intrusion prevention solutions.The Indian based company also announced a new partnership with Nigeria's Systemtech Services Limited that would allow customers to get access to eScan range of products countrywide. Systemtech Services commenced business operations twenty years ago in January 1990, is an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Company Group.This partnership is in addition to the existing eScan distributor relationship with Junisat based in Lagos and a leading ICT solution company, which is also one of the top players in the delivery of Internet and data services.With Junisat and Systemtech, MicroWorld plans to checkmate the activities of grey market vendors touting other competitive products to eScan as MicroWorld products since its entry into the Nigerian market. eScan has enjoyed extensive acceptance in Nigeria to make it one of the top rate choice solutions for many users.Assistant Vice President of MicroWorld, Mr. Nazir Kazi, who was recently in Lagos revealed that the high acceptance of eScan in Nigeria's burgeoning market has also encouraged illicit sale of the product by unauthorised resellers. Its partnership with Systemtech and Junisat will ensure proper retail channels for the product.'We are happy to be doing business with Junisat with whom we have associated for nearly a decade,' said Kazi. He said that the unique offering of eScan powered by technologies such as MWL, DIRC, NILP technology provides protection to both servers and endpoints. He stated that network administrators would be able to monitor and deploy variety of anti-virus software within the eScan family and enforce integrated security policies across the network using a browser.With our latest version of eScan, spreading of malware infection in network can be automatically prevented by sending an alert to the administrator about the outbreaks in the network. For difficulties that may arise as a result of language barrier in using the software; it has been designed in 16 different languages across the world, which can be uploaded during installation.
