UBA unveils 'Lion King Promo

United Bank for Africa Plc said it had inaugurated a new product titled Lion King Promo to encourage savings culture among Nigerians.The Head, Retail Banking Division, UBA, Mr. Chidi Okpala, said on Monday at the inauguration of the product that the promo was unique to the bank.He said, We remain committed to consistently improving customer service and rewarding our loyal customers. Hence, the reason for the introduction of Lion King Promo. We are going to be rewarding over 1, 000 people in Nigeria. We are looking at cash from N50, 000 to N5m.The Lion King promo seeks to reward our loyal customers, complement current initiatives aimed at growing savings, increase average balance per savings account, reactivation of accounts by customers with dormant and inactive accounts, increase number of profitable savings accounts and to deepen our e-banking service enrolment in support of the CBNs cashless policy.Okpala said that the promo would be for a period of six months, adding that a subsequent rollover for another period of seven months would be planned.There will be 23 weekly draws, one grand draw and one super grand draw. A total of 1, 038 customers will be rewarded during the campaign to ensure high impact. The promo will be open to existing and new customers of the bank, with aggregate prize of N130.6m to be won by customers. The more a customer saves, the higher the chances of winning; every multiple of fresh N10, 000 saved increases the customers chances of winning, he said.
