Speaker's Cup: Winners to get N750, 000

The winners of the 2011 Speakers Cup holding from November 22 to December 16, will smile home with N750,000, the Lagos State House of Assembly Chairman Ad Hoc Committee on Youth, Sports and Social Development, Babatunde Ayeni, has said.Ayeni stated this during the draws for the competition, which was held on Wednesday in Lagos.The runners-up will win N500,000, while the third and fourth-placed teams will receive N300,000 and N100,000 respectively.Ayeni said that the competition would be played on a knockout basis in six venues across the state and expressed hope that talents discovered from the event would represent the country at different age-grade competitions.
