Vincent, Kolade to attend ICC dinner

To further promote international trade and economic activities around the world, the former Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Ola Vincent and the former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Christopher Kolade, are to speak at the International Chamber of Commerce Nigeria dinner.According to a statement signed by the Secretary General, ICC, Mrs Olubunmi Osuntuyi, the dinner titled, "Big Shifts in Trade and Finance" will bring together experts from the finance sector and other sectors of the country. Osuntuyi said, "Being an affiliate of the ICC with International Headquarters in Paris, the ICCN will join its counterpart National Committees, in over 120 countries to celebrate 80th anniversary of ICC Banking Commission globally and the introduction of new ICC arbitration rules."She said other high points of the event included the presentation of the Banking Commission Award to the immediate past ICCN Chairman and now honorary Chairman of the Chamber, Chief Olusegun Osunkeye.She added, "In line with one of its objectives of adding value to its members through qualitative training with international standards, members who successfully participated and concluded the IFC FIT Initiative Programme would be awarded their certificates at the dinner. "The IFC FIT certification programme is a very practical three months e-Iearning programme which was designed with two important goals-to train and certify international trade finance professionals in their core area of expertise and thus enhance their productivity in their day-to-day roles and to build an online global network of international trade and finance professionals who will share knowledge and experience on an online platform specifically developed for the programme - a powerful tool in the resolution of common trade finance queries."
