Fuel Tanker Bursts Into Flame At Kwara Filling Station

<blockquote>A fuel loaded tanker has reportedly burst into flames at a filling station in Alapa town, Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State on Monday, Newspremises reports.<br><br>According to the spokesman of the Kwara State Fire Brigade, Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, the fire incident occurred at about 18:19hrs.<br><br>He said it occurred at MM filling station along Kaiama road in Alapa town, though no life was lost.<br><br>Adekunle said one Engineer Rasaq alerted the Kwara State Fire Service on the fire incident.<br><br>He said the blazing fire had engulfed the whole tanker due to the terrible nature of the incident when the firefighters arrived at the scene.<br><br>However, the firemen were able to put out the fire on time and also prevented the burning tanker from affecting the filling station in the vicinity area.<br><br>The accident, he stated, was caused by a mechanical fault in the petrol tanker.<br><br>Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, Director of the state fire service, advised the general public to be more careful.<br><br>He also urged fuel filling stations to procure all the necessary safety equipment at their various stations.<br></blockquote>Source: <a rel=ugc href="https://newspremises.com.ng/fuel-tanker-bursts-into-flame-at-kwara-filling-station/">https://newspremises.com.ng/fuel-tanker-bursts-into-flame-at-kwara-filling-station/</a>
