Nigerian Midfielder Named Best Young Player in Denmark

FC Midtylland midfielder Raphael Onyedika has been named Best Young Player of the Season in the Danish Superliga, reports Completesports.com.The 21-year-old beat his teammate Gustav Isaksen, Brondby's Anis Slimane and FC Copenhagen's sak Bergmann Jhannesson to the award.Onyedika was one of the key performers for Midtylland last season.The Nigerian played 31 out of 32 possible league matches, of which 29 were from the start. "It means a lot to me to get this award. It's always nice with recognition, even if it's the team's performance that matters most to me. I am happy to have played so many matches and been a regular part of the team," Onyedika told FC Midtylland 's official website." The season has gone much better than I had dared to hope for.
