Victims seek justice over alleged unlawful arrest

Three victims, Madam Olufunke Esther Ademola, Mrs. Timilehin Samuel Adegbola and Simisola Samuel have approached the Federal High Court, Ibadan Judicial Division, holden in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to seek redress on what they alleged as unlawful arrest and detention by the police.Narrating their ordeal, Madam Ademola, in an affidavit at the court, in support of the statement pursuant to Order 2 Rule 3 of the Fundamental Rights (enforcement procedure) Rules 2009, alleged that three policemen on February 14, 2018 stormed her house to arrest her.I was not at home. I later learnt that they went to my landlord and neighbours telling them that they wanted to arrest me because I was involved in an alleged armed robbery.They also went to my office that day, but I had left office. When they did not meet me at home and office, they arrested my daughters. On March 5, 2018, they came back to my office and arrested me. They took me to a police station in Ibadan.They kept me there from March 5 to March 9, 2018.They rearrested me on March 12, 2018 in place of a suspect and took me to Osogbo in Osun State, but later released me the same day. On March 21, 2018 they called me and ordered me to meet them at a police station where they detained me for the third time. They took my money and phone. I want justice.
