NSCDC foils bandits attack on headquarters in Nasarawa

Operatives of Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have repelled an attempted attack on its headquarters in Lafia by suspected bandits. Confirming the development, yesterday, spokesperson for the command, Jerry Victor, said an unspecified number of the gunmen invaded the headquarters of the corps in the early hours of yesterday. He said the gunmen, who came in large numbers with iron rods, attempted to break some parts of the commands fence to gain entry.
