Flood: FG desilts drains along federal roads in Lagos

Following reported flash floods across the Lagos metropolis on Wednesday, the Minister of Works, David Umahi, has directed the desilting of drains along federal roads in the state with the view to unflood the highways. The Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, Mrs Olukorede Kesha, who disclosed this in a statement released to journalists on Thursday, noted that contrary to some reports, Lagos is not experiencing widespread submergence from flood.
