Philanthropist donates car to Kano police

By Fanen Ihyongo, KanoA philanthropist who prefers to remain anonymous has donated a motor vehicle to the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Kano to aid community policing.Kano State Commissioner of Police, Samaila Shuaibu Dikko, yesterday received the car, a Sharon Suzuki, from the donor who pleaded that his name be not mentioned.The philanthropist said he had accompanied the commissioner to his familiarisation tours to Dala Area Command..I think the vehicle will assist in the area of logistics, he said.Read Also:Tinubu donates N50m to Katsina market fire victimsThe Commissioner appreciated the donor while handing over the vehicle to the Dala Area Commander Alhaji Mohammed Danladi, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). He advised the Area Commander to make good use of the vehicle for the safety and security of his area of responsibility.Dikko, who described the gesture as one of the gains of community policing, called on the people co-operate with the police.
