Abducted law school students regain freedom

<img src="https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/police_1754052268.jpg">The six law students who were abducted while travelling from Anambra to Adamawa state have regained their freedom.The students were heading to the Yola campus of the Nigeria law school when they ran into the kidnappers along the Benue-Taraba boundary on July 26, 2025.The students, Rev. Ernest Okafor, Ogbuka Fabian, Nwamma Philip, Okechukwu Obadiegwu, Obalem Emmanuel, and Obiorah David boarded a commercial vehicle operated by AJ Dan Pullo Transport Company, based in Onitsha.The abductors demanded N120m ransom, threatening to kill the captives if their demands were not met.The spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, Udeme Edet, confirmed the rescue in a statement on Friday, August 1.Please be informed that the police have successfully rescued six law school students of Yola campus, who were abducted on July 26, 2025, while travelling from Anambra State. The students were safely released early this morning, August 1, 2025.
