Over 30,000 citizens vaccinated in NasarawaNSPHCDA

By Linus Oota, LafiaExecutive Secretary, Nasarawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency (NSPHCDA), Dr. Mohammed Adis, said over 30,000 citizens of Nasarawa State have taken the Astrazeneca Vaccine for COVID-19.Adis stated this on Friday in his office while reacting to a report that a staff in one of the primary healthcare facilities in the state, Miss Gossele Manya, took the vaccine and got sick.According to him, we have not had any casualty in Nasarawa State; we have not had someone that took the vaccination and is not going about his/her normal duty.Read Also;1,101,827 vaccinated, says NPHCDAWhen Miss Gossele Manya was vaccinated, within a span of 15 minutes, she noticed that she was weak, dizzy and she reported back to the PHC; from there she was referred to the Specialist Hospital and when we got the information, we followed up with the case; in fact, the agency foot all the bills and within 24 hours, she was discharged and she is up and doing. She has resumed her duty in the facility, he saidAlso speaking, Miss Gossele Manya, a volunteer health worker in one of the PHC in the state said she took the COVID-19 vaccine on the 22nd of March 2021. I started feeling dizzy, fever and headache, so I went home and slept. The next day, I couldnt wake up, my body was paining me, but before taking the vaccine, I was very healthy.I was admitted to the Specialist Hospital where I took malaria and typhoid treatment. Im now better and have resumed work, she said.
