PDP leaders join #Bringback our boys protest in Abuja

Gbade Ogunwale, AbujaMembers of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday joined some protesting women and youths to demand the release of the over 330 students.The students were abducted on Friday from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina state by terrorists.The Abubakar Shekaus faction of Boko Haram has since claimed responsibility for the abduction, which was staged hours after President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Daura for a week-long holiday. Daura is said to be about three hours drive to Kankara.The placard-carrying protesters had arrived at the PDP campaign headquarters, Legacy House, Maitama, at about 2 pm, chanting Buhari bring back our boys.The protesters were joined by the PDP leaders, led by the partys National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus.Addressing the protesters, Secondus said: This is a peaceful protest to make the entire country and the international community aware of what is going on in our country.READ ALSO:The Kankara 333And all we are saying is that Buhari should bring back our boys from Katsina. It is important, we are in pain, the parents are in pain, the entire country is in pain.We are in agony, we are in sorrow. It is high time for the government of the day, the All Progressives Congress (APC) government to bring our boys back to Katsina.That is the bold statement by PDP today with this peaceful protest.Other PDP leaders that joined the protest included the chairman of the partys Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Walid Jibrin; PDP spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan; and Deputy National Chairman, Senator Suleiman Nazif.Also at the protest were the PDP National Secretary, Senator Ibrahim Tsauri; National Financial Secretary, Abdullahi Maibasira; National Youth Leader, Sunday Udeh Okoye among others.
