LEAP celebrates Nigerian youths

NIGERIAN youths, who have demonstrated leadership skills and engaged in activities that have contributed to national development, will be recognised at the 8th annual Nigerian Youth Leadership Awards organised by LEAP.According to a statement by the Head of Communications and External Affairs, LEAP, Kehinde Ayeni, the Minister of Youths and Development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi; and the Chief Executive Officer, Sahara Group, Mr. Tonye Cole, are expected as keynote speakers at the event which will hold on November 24 at the Muson Centre, Onikan.It stated, Many young Nigerians have distinguished themselves by positively transforming and improving the lives of people in their community, thereby contributing towards national development.At the annual awards, LEAP will recognise and celebrate the remarkable efforts of 10 Nigerian youths aged 18-30 years who have demonstrated leadership skills and engaged themselves in creating a better and enabling environment for people in their communities.It also said it would appreciate efforts of beneficiaries of its Leadership Ethics and Civics Programmes and also celebrate outstanding secondary schools, teachers and social change projects in Anambra, Ogun and Lagos states at the event.
