Babangida named Taraba Utd boss

FORMER Nigerian international Tijjani Babangida has been appointed new chairman of Nigerian National League side FC Taraba.Babangida's appointment has been confirmed by the Taraba State governor, Danbaba Dan Fulani Suntai.And the new FC Taraba chairman has already swung into action by engaging former Super Eagles assistant coach Salisu Yusuf to lead the club to the Nigerian top flight within the next three years.'This is a big opportunity for me to reorganise this team into a great one which will not only get results but also play attractive and attacking football,' Babangida informed MTNFootball.com'And it is because of this that I have immediately taken on board Yusuf, who shares my vision for attractive football as was evident during his time at Kano Pillars, and together we will form our 'Little Brazil' here.'Yusuf's assistants will include Tunisian coach Riad Mejri and former Green Eagles star Shefiu Mohammed, according to Babangida.
