PFN Aguda Tasks Church Workers On Commitment

AGUDA chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Surulere, Lagos, has called on church leaders and workers to be worthy ambassadors of Christ. According to the Director of Planning and Strategy, PFN, Aguda and General Overseer of Altar of Excellence Ministries, Orile, Pastor Candyfidel Onwuraokoye, the 2011 edition of 'Armour Bearer Seminar' is designed to educate church leaders and workers on need for humility, obedience and commitment to the service of God in local churches. He said selfless and committed service in the house of God is required for growth of the Church and propagation of gospel of Christ. Speaking on the qualities of a potential 'armour bearer' (worker), the presiding bishop of Overcomers Church Worldwide, Bishop N.E Moses, said workers ought to be protective of their senior pastors, as good the soldiers of Christ.According to him, 'A potential amour bearer is the eye and defense of the Senior Pastor as well as of the church. They pool their resources together with their pastors to fight common enemies and pull down the works of devil.'He said an armour bearer is a pastor-in-the-making and should therefore learn how senior pastors do things and addresses issues confronting the church.Using Elisha and his master, Elijah, as an example, he said, 'Elisha was obedient and committed to following his master, and that was the reason he received double of his master's anointing.
