Group attacks Fashola over Bode George's wife's appointment

A SOCIO-POLITICAL group in Lagos State, Lagos Collectives, has attacked Governor Babatunde Fashola over his attack on the appointment of Mrs. Roli Bode-George as the representative of the state on the board of the National Population Commission (NPC).A statement entitled 'Fashola and the Politics of Vindictiveness' signed by its chairman, Professor Tejumade Akitoye-Rhodes, reads: 'In a recent political talkshop, Mr Raji Fashola, the governor of Lagos State, derided the appointment of Mrs Roli Bode George on the Board of the National Population Commission in a loose undignifying manner that is unbecoming of his high office. 'In crass simplistic twaddle, Mr Fashola claimed that Mrs Bode George is unqualified because she is not a Lagosian! Haba, Mr Fashola should know better! We have belaboured this petty nit-pricking before. The blind insistence on being latched to the puerile venom of vindictive politics in Lagos State clearly demonstrates the sickening level of partisan deterioration in ACN. Nothing is sacred anymore. Facts are muddled to sooth the temperament of the moment.
