Boko Haram: Centre challenges Jonathan, others

The Centre for Victims of Extra-Judicial Killings and Torture (Cvekt Africa) yesterday rose against the massacre of innocent Nigerians in the armed insurgency of the Boko Haram sect, challenging President Goodluck Jonathan be pro-active in tackling the problem.The Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) condemned the sect's activities in strong terms, describing them as 'terrorism, heinous, traumatic, unjustifiable and criminal, regardless of motivation.'At the group's workshop in Asaba, Delta state capital, yesterday, its Executive Director, Rev. Fr. Tony Amarube, recalled that armed groups since 2006 have focused on attacks of oil installations, kidnapping and ransoming of foreign oil workers and disruption of oil exports.
