Beach Eagles arrive from Dubai 'Stadium experts in Nigeria for COPA Lagos

THE Beach Eagles yesterday arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos after finishing fifth at the Dubai Beach Soccer Inter Continental Cup.Speaking with Tribunesports on arrival, Coach of the Beach Eagles, Adamu Audu, said that the team's focus remains the 4-Nation Invitational tournament tagged COPA Lagos scheduled to hold from December 16 to 18 in Lagos."We lost 2-3 to the United Arab Emirates due to hard luck because we deserved victory in that game if not, we would have played in the semi-final," Adamu said.The former BCC Lions goalkeeper hinted that the Beach Eagles would resume camping at the Lagos VIP Chalets, Badagry on December 3 in preparation for COPA Lagos which attracts England, South Africa and Brazil.The Beach Eagles had last Saturday defeated Mexico 6-4 in a classification game to place fifth at the Dubal 2011. Meanwhile, reigning world champions, Russia again in two months defeated Brazil 5-4 during extra time to win the competition.The host, UAE had earlier in the day lost 0-1 via penalties after a 4-4 draw at regulation time in the third place match.Meanwhile,INTERNATIONALLY renowned Engineering Company Parker Trading are now in Lagos for Copa Lagos 2011 taking place in Lagos from December 16 to 18,2011.Parker Trading have sent their best experts to assist in the construction of the brand new Copa Lagos Beach Soccer stadium Eko Atlantic beach.The stadium itself has arrived from Malaysia, the impressive structure can hold over 2000 spectators. It is comprised of three stands for the general public as well as a stylish VIP stand which can hold over 200 spectators. The venue which Kinetic Sports has brought to Nigeria, rivals all other international Beach Soccer venues. This will ensure that Nigerians will be able to enjoy their Copa Lagos experience inside a state-of-the-art venue.Mr. Chong Chee How and Mr. Raja Afnan are experts in the construction of this type of structures and their work has seen them travel all over the globe. Their most recent work was completed in India, now they are in Lagos for the Copa Lagos Beach Soccer tournament on the 16th ' 18th December 2011" said Adamu the organizer of the competition.Host Country Nigeria,Multiple World Champions Brazil, South-Africa as well as Three Lions of England are taking part in the First-ever International Beach Soccer Championship of this magnitude in the Continent of Africa.The Organisers,aside all the fanfare that goes with the hosting are hoping this will enhance the standing of the Nigerian Beach Soccer National Team in the International Ratings and get them prepared for future challenges.Mr Samson Adamu,the C.E.O of Kinetic Sports,Organisers of Copa Lagos informs that:'Things are falling into place very fast.We are making progress with the Stadium and Tickets will go on sale in the next few days and Accomodation is about sorted out.''There's also progress in the areas of Accreditation and series of very innovative Entertainment packages we hope to introduce.We are also getting every cooperation from the teams.And arrangements have reached advanced stages concerning Live Transmission globally.'In a related development,ProfessionalPortuguese International Consultant and Copa Lagos Partner, Pedro Presa,Is now in Lagos, where he will remain for the next three weeks months, in preparation of Copa Beach Soccer Championship.
