Nobody can remove me as Insurance chairman 'Ekhosuehi dares Sports Commissioner

CHIEF Gbinomwanhia Ekhosuehi says he remains the authentic chairman of Bendel Insurancein spite of the recent appointment of Elbert Odeh Abasogie as 'functional' chairman of the club..Odeh was pronounced the 'functional' chairman of the club by the State's Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon Iziegbe Anita Evbuomwan, yet Ekhosuehi stated that such appointment holds no ground in the history of the Benin based club.'What is the meaning of functional chairman' The commissioner for sports should be asked to explain the meaning since I am still alive as the recognized chairman of the club. I have been the chairman since 1992 without any blemish ,'I am still the chairman and I remain the authentic chairman of Bendel Insurance football club. No Edo man has ever done what I have contributed to the club in the recent past. Because of this club, I am indebted to the First bank Plc, sold my property for the sustenance of the club','How can they wake up one day and proclaim another person as the functional chairman of Insurance when the recognized chairman is still much active and around. I am in poultry farming relaxing right now'.While responding whether he will embark on legal action to oppose the appointment, he said 'I will not go to court because of this matter because it can be resolved amicably'.It would be recalled that Odeh was appointed as the functional chairman of the club last week during the unveiling of Bright Omokaro as the chief coach of the club at the office of the sports commissioner.
