Oloyan tasks Osun govt on physical infrastructure

Published by Tribune on Wed, 30 Nov 2011

The Oloyan of Oyanland in Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba Kilani Adekeye Oluleye, has enjoined the state governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, to extend infrastructural development to his domain.Oloyan, while speaking with Community News by telephone recently, said the one year in office of the governor deserved celebration.Oba Oluleye, who called for the support of the people of the state for the incumbent administration also advised Governor Aregesola not to relent in making sure that the dividends of democracy get to the people at the grass roots.'In my domain here, Oyan, we are always in support of any government in power. We are progressive, so, I don't see any reason why we should be denied of infrastructural facilities. There is no hospital in the whole community as we have to go to Osogbo before we could get any hospital. The only hospital has been abandoned and overgrown with weeds. There is no water for my people to drink as the only dam we are having cannot serve the whole community again because we are expanding on a daily basis,' Oloyan lamented.Oloyan further said that, the ancient town which is renowned for growing potatoes was marginalised by the previous administrations in the state, saying 'We are hearing that Aregbesola is doing this, he is doing that, but our hope is that Aregbesola, as a listening leader, will make us happy in Oyan by doing our own and bring back to us our lost glory. Not only that, there would not be an epidemic in this community if the government gives us hospital, drinkable water as well as good roads among others.'The traditional ruler who commended the governor for the way he started his administration, stressed that, there was peaceful co-existence as residents of the state were not living in fear of anything while going about their normal businesses. The community leader said further that, 'Aregbesola has done well for the people of the state, mostly on education sector.
