Legislator donates motorcycles, building materials to churches

Honourable Kingsley Ebenyi,representing Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency, has donated motorcycles and building materials worth millions of naira to Anglican Churches in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State.Mr Titus Agbo, a media aide to the federal lawmaker, quoted the legislator in a statement in Abuja as saying at the presentation that churches occupied important position in nation building.Ebenyi, a former Nigeria's Ambassador to Spain, said the church had contributed immensely in helping to reshape the society, adding that it required everybody's support to sustain the great work of promoting positive values.The building materials included bundles of zinc, bags of cement and iron rods to support the erection of the Parish Church at Ugwuotinkpu, Neke.The release explained that the motorcycles would be used by the entire Anglican Communion in the Eha-Amufu Dioceses for the propagation of the gospel to the rural communities.It stated that Most Rev. Daniel Olinya, the Anglican Bishop of Eha-Amufu Dioceses, who received the donation on behalf of the church, commended Ebenyi's kind gesture, noting that the legislator had virtually built the church for the Parish.Olinya prayed for God's blessing and more wisdom to enable him effectively perform his legislative duties.
