Court adjourns case against Nyako

BARELY 24 hours after the apex court sitting in Abuja adjourned indefinitely the case challenging the tenure of Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State and four other governors, the Federal High Court sitting in Yola has adjourned the case challenging the recent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries in the state in which Nyako was declared winner to December 6, 2011.The plaintiff, Dr. Umar Ardo, told journalists after the court session that the case was adjourned as a result of the absence of the presiding judge, Justice S.M. Shuaibu.Justice Shuaibu last month granted leave to the plaintiff (Ardo) to serve the first respondent (Nyako) with the writ of summons and all other processes in the suit by substituted means.
