Ekiti teams battle to honour Oba Adewole

No fewer than 12 teams in Ekiti State have indicated interest to feature in the maiden edition of Oba Adebayo Adewole Cup competition which will hold between December 10 and 16 in Ijero Ekiti.The competition is part of the celebration of the 20th coronation anniversary of Oba Adewole and will feature players below the age of 20.Gbolahan Sojebe, representing Essogee Concept, organisers of the event, said the competition was open to sponsorship."This is a youth event with the aim to give the players the opportunity to express their skills. There are cash prizes for the winners," Sojebe said."The anniversary will attract a large crowd to the community so there is the need for corporate organisations to take the opportunity through sponsorship and reach the people."We want the competition to end on December 16, a day before the anniversary. The Ekiti State Governor is expected at the expected, so its going to be a wonderful experience for the teams."
