Iyede community union sacks exco

PRESIDENT Generalof Iyede ProgressiveUnion, Isoko North Local Government Area, Delta State, Chief Ezekiel Okwovoriole and other members of his executive, have been impeached for alleged non performance.The impeachment was sequel to a vote of no confidence passed on the embattled president general and his executive by the majority of all the presidents/chairmen of all the quarters and communities in the Iyede Kingdom in a meeting held at the Ovie's Palace recently.The impeachment notice was contained in a letter addressed to the Iyede Traditional Council of Chiefs titled; 'Letter of notification and immediate action,' signed by Personal Assistant to the 'Ovie', Pastor Samuel Isheke, the leader of the group, Chief Moses Ederaro, eight community presidents and five quarter chairmen, which was made available to newsmen in Ughelli.According to the letter, 'all dealings with the impeached President General, Chief Ezekiel Okwovoriole and his executives in the name of Iyede Progressive Union should henceforth stop. Any person or organisation going contrary to this instruction is detrimental to the well being of Iyede people; it is therefore risky and dangerous.'There will be an emergency conference on the 27th of December 20011 to address important matters and to also elect another executive to pilot the affairs of the union.'Those presidents and chairmen who signed the impeachment notice included; Williams Kesiena, Uruele quarters; Mr. Akpobedafe Arubasa, Uzobe quarters; Mr. Vincent Akpoduado, Uruosu quarters; Mr. Simeon Ekurogbe, Ekreme quarters; Mr. Kaji Ajedafemu, Uruowhe quarters and Mr. Benson Omugbe, Uli community.Others included; Mr. Benson Ugboka, Iwride community; Mr. Emaziye Arato, Ewhisigba community; Mr. Michael Umukoro, Okpaigie community, Chief Jabi Ubini, Oteri community; Evang. Godspower Awere, Oghara community; Mr. James Enhen, Ekiugbo community and Mr. Jackson Ekaki, Ogewho community.Meanwhile, the community in a separate letter, has appointed Mr. Benson Omugbe, Mr. Michael Umukoro and Mr. Nelson Okpakpor to pilot the affairs of the community pending the constitution of a new executive in December 2011.
