Etisalat boosts customer service with 'Geek Force

Etisalat Nigeria has improved its customer service with the inauguration of the Geek Force.Speaking during the inauguration in Lagos, on Friday, the Director, Retail sales, Etisalat Nigeria, Mr. Charles Ogunwuyi, said the Geek Force was a team of technology savvy and courteous sales staff who had been jointly trained by Etisalats in-house faculty and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to provide advisory services and to resolve technical issues on various devices at designated Etisalat Experience Centres.According to him, the Geek Force is aimed at making Etisalat customers communication life easier by providing differentiated experience through first-hand query resolution for all device- related issues.He said, Etisalat is proud to introduce yet another innovation aimed at helping our customers make informed decisions on the technological investments they have made. The Geek Force teams will ensure that queries and device related issues encountered by our customers with modern communication gadgets like BlackBerry, other smartphones and modems are attended to in a professional manner.Ogunwuyi explained that the Geeks were products of an extensive training implemented by Etisalat in-house faculty and OEMs such as Nokia, Blackberry, Samsung, Huawei and ZTE .According to him, the Geeks have acquired skill sets required to install, configure, synchronise and set up email accounts in any of the mobile devices manufactured by the partnering OEMs.He added that they could also upgrade Operating Systems, set-up wireless connections and provide technology consultations, among other things.The Etisalat retail sales boss further explained that the company had also established an interactive forum between the Geeks and customers on social networking site, Facebook.This would enable customer questions and queries to be dealt with accordingly, he noted.We are always providing Nigerians with innovative products and services as well as the best value possible. The Geek Force is a first of its kind in the industry and will enhance our customers communication experience, he said.Ogunwuyi pointed out that the Geek Force teams were available at designated Etisalat Experience Centres in major cities across Nigeria including Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Ibadan, Benin, Enugu, Warri, Aba, Uyo, Kaduna, Asaba and Ughelli.
