Keshi picks Lawal, three others

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has identified four players from the U-23 team that could join the senior team in January.The Olympic team crashed out of the maiden CAF U-23 Championship after losing to Morocco and Senegal but their performance against Algeria in their third group game convinced Keshi that some of the players had the quality for the senior team.He praised hat-trick hero Lawal Raheem but refused to disclose the other three players, saying he would monitor their progress before naming them.He said, I obviously have spotted some players; about four of them. Lawal was outstanding in the last game. I will keep monitoring the others and with time we will find out who they are.The former Togo coach however advised the players to look beyond their failure in the competition, urging them to keep fit if they hope to be in the senior team.He said, I urge you to stay discipline, keep your form and keep working hard if you still want to represent this country.Any player who wants to play under me must be disciplined, must be able to distinguish between work time and play time.I have always said that this is a talented side but remember that having the talent is not enough, you must be a team player.
