Let's work together, Jonathan urges Nigerians

President Goodluck Jonathan hasurged Nigerians to collaborate with his government to confront the myriad of problems facing the nation, saying with collective efforts and prayers, the nation will overcome the challenges.Addressing the congregation at St. Mulumba Catholic Chaplaincy, Apo Abuja, where he had a morning devotion along with the President of the Senate, David Mark, on Wednesday, President Jonathan noted that the challenges facing the nation were enormous but 'I am confident that with our collective efforts and supplication to God, we can surmount them.'He also prayed for God's wisdom and courage to do what is just and right for all Nigerians, at all times.According to him, 'as for me, I do not know the circumstances of my being in politics, but God who brought me here will use me to do what is desirable to uplift the nation and transform Nigeria.'He thanked Nigerians for their support and relentless prayers for the success of his administration, promising that 'we shall surely change things for good, we shall do our best, and we shall not disappoint you.'On his part, the Senate president urged Nigerians to show understanding towards government programmes and policies, saying that it takes understanding on the part of the government and the governed to make things work well.He noted the many problems facing the nation, but pointed out government was making serious efforts to solve them.
