Dangote spends N15 billion on CSR

The indigenous multinational company, the Dangote Group, has expended N15.5 billion to impact positively on the society under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) services in 2011. The group said the CSR activities, carried out through the Dangote Foundation, covered wide ranging sectors including, health, community service, education, empowerment etc and across African continent and beyond. Speaking with newsmen on the CSR profile of the organisation at the weekend, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Mr. Ahmed Iya, said the Dangote Group has it as a business policy to impact positively not on the communities hosting its many investments but deliberate intervention in the areas of human needs globally.
