Police debunk plans to bomb public places in Jos

The police in Plateau have debunked the alleged plans by some unidentified groups to bomb some public places in Jos and its environs during the Christmas and New Year festivities.The Commissioner of Police, Mr Emmanuel Ayeni, told newsmen in Jos on Sunday that the rumour to that effect was baseless and unsubstantiated.A text message being circulated within Jos metropolis had listed some worship centres and government buildings as targets of bomb explosions during Christmas.
