LG promises to rehabilitate Olusanya/Alade Layout roads

As part of hisefforts to makelife easier for the downtrodden, the Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mr Toheeb Bolaji Adeleke, has said that the abandoned road project at Olusanya/Alade Layout/Elekunkun Idera area of the local government would be part of the first priority roads to be listed for approval by the Oyo State government.The local government boss, according to the Chairman, Alade Layout Community Development Association, Alhaji Adetunji Bello, said this when he and the local government Director of Works, Alhaji Kayode Adebiyi, inspected the bad state of the roads in the area.A release signed by Chief Bello disclosed that the local government chairman and his director of works came to inspect the road for the second time and promised that the road would be among the five listed for approval by the state government.'When the chairman, Mr Toheeb Adeleke and the works director came to inspect the road, which was their second time of coming, they went round and observed that the road was the annex to New Adeoyo General Hospital road.'The same road passes through the front of the house of Eketa Olubadan of Ibadanland , High Chief Yekinni Adegbayi of blessed memory.'In our discussion, they agreed that if the road was constructed it would ease the traffic jam at Ososami and the New General Hospital, Adeoyo junction that happens daily.'The Alade Layout Health Centre that has been abandoned for long was also inspected, while the total estimation that will complete the building was established.'The chairman promised that all efforts would be made to have the road listed among the first priority roads to be approved by the state government.'Now, our community is waiting for the positive reaction which I believe will come very soon,' Chief Bello said.The release also stated that the council has agreed to rehabilitate the pedestrian bridge behind The Glad Tidings Church which has almost collapsed.
