PDP berates Fashola over comments on troops' deployment

The Peoples Democractic Party (PDP) has carpeted Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, over his attacks on the deployment of soldiers to Lagos by President Goodluck Jonathan. The PDP, in a statement by its National Vice Chairman, South-West, Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, said it was sad that Fashola, who sent out securitymen and hoodlums to brutalise peaceful protesters last month in Lekki-Epe axis, could play politics with the President's decision to restore stability in Lagos. The PDP advised Fashola to be a statesman and appreciate efforts made to prevent a breakdown of law and order in the state and other parts of the country.
