Customs adopts e-single goods declaration to facilitate trade

Aims to plug revenue leakagesDetermined to ensure seamless cargo clearance in the port for importers and clearing agents, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has perfected plans to move from the use of manual Single Goods Declaration (SGD) form to electronic form. The test running of this innovation commenced earlier this year, when the service put an end to the printing the hard copy of SGD form from customs printing press and settled for online form.
